In lifting operations, we can often see the use of lifting belts. Lifting belts are a kind of lifting sling, which are recommended and praised by many users with the advantages of easy operation, easy carrying, stable lifting, soft texture and no damage to the lifting objects. Can the lifting belt be used if it is scratched during use?
When the lifting belt is in normal use, its surface fiber will be scratched. This kind of scratch belongs to the normal scope of scratch, which will hardly affect the performance of the lifting belt. However, with the frequent use of a long time, the scratch will become more and more obvious, and some load bearing should be reduced during lifting.
In addition to surface scratch, attention should also be paid to the scratch on the edge of the lifting belt. Generally, the edge wear can only be caused when the lifting belt is used with a tension pull. At this time, we should stop using it, observe what object caused the wear of the lifting belt, and adjust the lifting belt. If the wear is serious, it should be scrapped.
If the lifting belt is cut transversely or longitudinally, or the edge or eyelet is cut, it should be stopped immediately and disposed as scrap. The lifting belt is made of synthetic fiber woven at one time and cannot be repaired, so it should be replaced with a new lifting belt in case of serious wear.
