Standard for scrapping and replacing lifting belts

When people carry out lifting operations, lifting belts are commonly used as tools. Due to the wide range of lifting loads, safety and reliability, and the soft texture of the belt, it will not cause harm to the lifted object, so it is widely used in various industries.

When using lifting belts, we need to conduct a detailed inspection in advance. Once the following situations are found, they should be scrapped and replaced with new lifting belts:

Appearance condition: Check the appearance of the lifting belt, including surface wear, fracture, deformation, corrosion, etc. If there is obvious wear or damage to the lifting equipment, it should be scrapped and replaced immediately.

Tensile testing: Regularly conduct tensile testing to ensure that the strength of the lifting belt meets the requirements. Develop corresponding tensile testing standards based on the type and specifications of lifting straps. If the tension test result of the lifting belt is lower than the specified standard, a new lifting belt should be replaced in a timely manner.

The lifting belt has a service life and generally needs to be replaced after a certain period or number of uses. Lifting belts that exceed their service life may pose potential risks and therefore require regular inspection and replacement.
