At present, the market for lifting belts is relatively mature, and the quality of branded lifting belts from large manufacturers is basically guaranteed, except for some small workshops. A customer had previously raised concerns about the quality of the lifting belt, but after inspection, it was found that there was no quality issue with the lifting belt. Instead, it was cut during the lifting operation. It is necessary for us to reiterate the correct use of lifting straps for such matters.
Lifting straps undergo strict testing before leaving the factory, but even the best quality lifting straps need to be operated in a standardized manner to ensure safety. Otherwise, no matter how good the quality of the lifting straps is, it will be of no use. So what problems with lifting belts are unrelated to quality? How should we use lifting straps correctly?
There are two situations that are unrelated to the quality of the lifting belt itself. One is when the lifting belt is cut off due to repeated friction when lifting equipment with sharp edges, and the other is when there is severe overload during the lifting process and the lifting belt is pulled off. Both of these situations were caused without following the rules. It has little to do with the quality of the lifting belt.
And what we need to do is to avoid using lifting belts to lift equipment with sharp edges as much as possible. If it is a special case, we can add lifting belt protective covers at the contact points between the lifting belts and the edges to reduce wear between them. Another requirement is to carry out lifting operations within the rated load of the lifting belt.
