Does a white lifting strap necessarily mean a polypropylene lifting strap

Many people think that white lifting belts must be made of polypropylene material because polypropylene lifting belts have poor dyeing properties and are generally not dyed. Therefore, many people believe that white lifting belts are necessarily polypropylene lifting belts. In fact, this is not the case. Simply put, polypropylene lifting belts are white, but white does not necessarily mean polypropylene lifting belts.

White lifting straps may also be polyester lifting straps, so how can we distinguish the actual material of a white lifting strap?

Polypropylene sling

Firstly, we can observe the label information of the lifting belt, because the rated load of polyester lifting belt is much larger than that of polypropylene lifting belt. Even without dyeing, its rated load should be above 10 tons, while the maximum load of polypropylene lifting belt is not more than 10 tons due to material reasons.

Then, the polypropylene white lifting belt has better acid and alkali resistance than the white polyester lifting belt, so the polypropylene flat lifting belt is more suitable for use in the chemical industry.

Finally, although the flat lifting straps have not been dyed and both types of lifting straps appear white, there are differences in their actual white color. The polypropylene flat lifting belt will be whiter and brighter, while the polyester flat lifting belt will appear white blue. The overall color of the lifting belt is blackish blue compared to the polypropylene flat lifting belt. It is easy to distinguish between the two when observed together.

These are three simple methods to distinguish between white polyester lifting straps and polypropylene lifting straps.
